Great episode, Ryan. Beyond training, I think it’s also important to cultivate the will to act. This is the part I have a hard time with. Constant weights and Jiu-Jitsu are no problem for me. But when it comes to doing the courageous thing at the right time, too often I find that I fall short. Love the show, I’ve listened to every episode.
Sometimes that’s your common sense tingling.
Don’t act unless you have bone moral certainty and have taken precautions to protect your downside.
We cannot ignore the moral/psychological side or the practical side.
Fash, your comment reminded me of Liam Neeson in the first Batman when he says training is nothing and will is everything. Regarding the podcast topic, this is why Trump’s victory was such a great feat regardless of whether he accomplishes anything or not. The Left has shows its hand, and now we know without a doubt there will be no compromise. Btw, Ryan I love the picture for this episode.
I don’t think that the GOP was unintentionally rudderless after 2008. Their model is to hold the White House for a few years, disappoint and alienate their voting block, then lose intentionally by running up candidates like Dole, McCain, Romney, etc. This gives them a breather for a few years while they scheme some new ways of scamming white middle America into voting for them again…
I like the idea of private security. Maybe Erik Prince could use a backwater connection and get some deep discounts.
