    A missing piece of this entire idea is our left’s terrible obsession with third world pets. the germans at least stuck to themselves.

    That is very true. During the coming collapse, a country like Japan, with a homogeneous population and few third world peasant/citizen/pygmies will be much better off than the US or Europe. In fact, maybe Japan/Weimar is a better comparison in this instance.
