  1. I don’t really think we have as much a disagreement with Anatoly Karlin as he makes out. There need not be a universal… Colonialism is all good… or Colnialism is all bad. Certainly one can see Russian imperial control over Poland as unjust and counter-productive, and Beligan control over Congo as overwhelmingly salutary. In fact, I pretty much do see it that way.

      Having an unconditional opposition to colonialism and/or imperialism is quite counter-productive in my opinion. I just reeks of prog a priori principles.
