"...An attempt to convince every major Republican donor to cede every competitive election in the United States for the indefinite future would be a tall order. I’ll still ask for it..."

I really like your wring but I disagree with this. If your "end game" is a King I want no part of it. Having guards with puffy hats and some guy who wears jewels and rides in carriages solves nothing. We had a perfectly good system that the left destroyed. It wasn't completely perfect but neither are Kings. The Republicans ought to ruthlessly move us back to a Democratic Republic. With means test and/or literacy test we could take over the government completely then deport people in mass til we have a 90% White to 10% minority mix and keep it that way.

If you have a reliable source I'd be very interested in this.

Once again, very good post.

Politics is second order to culture. Change the culture and you change politics.

And yes, there is a lot of boring gruntwork that needs to be done.

I'm against democracy as much as the next nrxer and sure the gop is only conserving old prog victories mostly, but we still have to live here, and try to make the best of the current shitty circumstances. There's a reason why Texas has a more tolerable political climate than California- because the conservative people here show up and vote for conservatives. Coming from ancapistan I'm familiar with (and sympathetic to) the old "don't grant the system/state legitimacy by voting at all" argument. But damn it makes my skin crawl to imagine wendy davis and her jolly band of fucksticks turning this state into a Californiaesque nightmare. I absolutely agree that the culture war is more important and the electoral struggle is a losing battle but at the same time there would be serious and immediate consequences if all the conservatives just called it quits. Tolerable taxes, a friendly business environment, and gun freedom won't be around for long if the commies are given free reign.

>Take my word for it, or don’t if you like, but its going to get a lot harder to NOT mention race if you want white hetero men to get a foot in the door in the arts.

That line. There are plenty of white hetero leftists in the arts today. A wealth of them. Go down the list: http://www.guggenheim.org/guggenheim-foundation/trustees -- what you will see is a representation of the WASP/Jewish east coast power structure. J'qwan nowhere to be found, except at special little parties to keep the J'qwans of the world from feeling entirely left out.

Go down this list and you will see the same story: http://www.metmuseum.org/about-the-museum/annual-reports/~/media/Files/About/Annual%20Reports/2012_2013/board%20of%20trustees.pdf

We only start to see some real diversity on the advisory board of Christie's: http://www.christies.com/about-us/company/advisory-board

Again, the issue is not that ye goode white men are being kept out of the arts, and the people who are actually in those positions of power would find it a little silly. The white men who are there are rotten leftists, and the leftism is the much bigger problem.

Am I jumping down your throat unfairly? Mostly... no argument there...

>The purpose of your article was wasn’t to discuss art and politics. It was there for some good ol’ fashioned ax-grinding. Those mealy-mouthed artsy, fartsy hipsters groveling and whining. Touché. Ho-ho. Mea culpa. Maxima mea culpa.

?? Is English your first language? The point of that line is to state that turning cisheterowhitemaleness into a victim status is a mistake that I refuse to support.
